ART IN EVERY ABODE

Stories for the Young and Very Young

India is a land of stories. They can be found everywhere, from the walls of temples to the forgotten manuscripts, from the caves of Himalayas to the hearts of people. As Muriel Rukeyser once remarked, "This universe is not made of atoms, but stories". And a reason why among all the most ancient civilizations India is the only one that thrives vibrantly is because we continue to celebrate our stories. These stories have formed the basis of our understanding everything around us, from the microcosm to the macrocosm, from the atom to the universe. They have not just been the vehicles that have carried everything that can be known, but also simplified the most complex ideas and inspired humans to seek that can be experienced. It will be our endeavor to put together these stories from various contributing storytellers, into neatly categorized sections. There's more... you can contribute your stories as well and get featured in our monthly newsletter. Since our efforts are centered around propagating Indian art and culture, you will see a healthy mix of these stories through the lens of art. We are hopeful that through these engaging lore we would inspire readers to appreciate and be patrons of the art we carry. Or even if you happen to fall in love with a piece of art at the outset, you will come seeking the stories that inspired it.
